Communities (or “tribes”) are the heart of Tryno. Each community is a self-contained space with its own feed, chat, events, challenges, courses, and more. Whether you are building a fitness group, a learning cohort, or a paid membership, communities give you everything you need to engage your members.

Creating a community

Open the dashboard

Navigate to your Tryno dashboard and click Create Community.

Set up your identity

Choose a name, unique handle, description, and category for your community.

Upload branding

Add a logo and banner image to give your community a professional look.

Configure modules

Enable the modules you need (Feed, Chat, Events, Challenges, Courses, and more).
Your community handle becomes your public URL: tryno.io/t/your-handle. Choose something short and memorable.

Roles and permissions

Every community has a role hierarchy that controls what each member can do.

Only the community owner can transfer ownership or delete the community.

Membership tiers

Tiers let you segment your audience and offer exclusive benefits to different membership levels. When you create a tier, you can attach:
  • Access to premium content and courses
  • Special profile badges
  • Exclusive chat channels
  • Discounts on events and courses
Combine tiers with paid communities and Tryno Pay to build a sustainable revenue model directly inside your community.

FAQ

The number of communities you can create depends on your plan. Free plans allow one community, while Pro and Business plans support multiple communities.
Yes. Navigate to Settings > General in your community dashboard to update your handle. Keep in mind that changing your handle will break any existing links that use the old URL.
You can invite members via email or shareable link. Bulk import via CSV is available on Pro and Business plans.
Deleting a community is permanent. All posts, messages, courses, and member data will be removed. Make sure to export any data you need before deleting.
