Overview
Tryno’s gamification engine rewards members for participating in your community. Every meaningful action earns XP (experience points), which accumulates into levels. Combine this with streaks, badges, and leaderboards to create a self-sustaining engagement loop.Experience points (XP)
Members earn XP for actions across the platform:| Action | Default XP |

| Check in at an event | +20 |
XP values are fully configurable. Go to Admin > Settings > Gamification to customize how much XP each action is worth.
Levels
Members advance through levels as they accumulate XP. Each level can unlock:- Exclusive badges
- Access to tier-based chat channels
- Premium content (courses, challenges)
- Discounts on paid content and events
Streaks
Streaks track consecutive daily activity and reward consistency:- Check-in streak — Consecutive days the member visited the community
- Post streak — Consecutive days with at least one post
- Current streak and maximum streak are both tracked
- Streak bonuses can award extra XP for maintaining a streak
Streaks reset at midnight in the community’s configured timezone.
Badges
Badges are visual achievements displayed on member profiles. You can create two types:Automatic badges
Automatic badges
Awarded automatically when a member meets defined criteria. Examples:
- “First Post” — Awarded after publishing a first post
- “30-Day Streak” — Awarded for a 30-day check-in streak
- “Course Graduate” — Awarded after completing a course
Manual badges
Manual badges
Awarded by admins to recognize individual contributions or achievements that don’t fit automatic criteria. Useful for things like “Community MVP” or “Event Speaker.”
Leaderboard
The leaderboard ranks members by total XP in real time. It is visible to all community members and refreshes automatically as XP changes.How the leaderboard drives engagement
